Troubleshooting (1)
If you have a problem with your unit, read this page and try to solve the problem
yourself before calling your dealer or TEAC Service Center.
No power. Check the connection to the AC power supply. Check
whether or not the AC source is a switched outlet. If
it is, confirm that the switch is turned on.
Confirm that there is power to the AC outlet by
plugging another item such as a lamp or fan into it.
The power might not turn on if the backup battery
has died. Replace the battery or remove it from the
unit. A backup battery should last about 72 hours
(page 7).
Display is dim. Press the DIMMER button to change the brightness.
When the unit is new, the brightness is set to the
lowest of three levels.
No sound from
speakers.
Select the source by pressing the FUNCTION button.
Adjust the volume.
Disconnect a headphones plug from the PHONES
jack if one is connected.
Remote control
does not work.
Press the Standby/On (
) button to turn the unit
on.
If the battery is exhausted, replace it with a new one.
Use the remote control unit within the operating
range (16 ft/5 m), and point it at the front panel.
Remove obstacles between the remote control unit
and the main unit.
If a bright light is near the unit, turn it off.
The sound is noisy. The unit might be too close to a TV or similar device.
Relocate the unit farther away from such devices, or
turn them off.
Power cannot be
turned off (put
in standby) when
using an iPod
touch/iPhone as
the sound source
When using an iPod touch or an iPhone with this
unit, if you use any application other than the iPod
applications, the SR-LUXi power might turn on again
soon after it is turned off (put in standby). Since the
unit cannot turn the iPod touch/iPhone power off
when such an application is running, you must quit
such an application before turning the SR-LUXi off
(putting it in standby).
