Recording a source
You can record the sound of a disc or USB memory device onto a CD
or a cassette tape connected to the DIGITAL OUT terminal or the LINE
OUT jacks.
< The sound of other sources does not come out of the terminal or
jacks.
1. Select “DISC Source” or “USB Source” by pressing the FUNCTION
button.
2. Start recording.
< The volume, and tone control (LOUDNESS and S.BASS) have no
effect on the recording signals.
Dimmer
Press the DIMMER button to dim the display.
You can adjust the display brightness with three brightness levels.
Muting
To mute the sound temporarily, press the MUTING button. Press
the MUTING button again to restore the sound.
< “MUTING” blinks on the display while muting is engaged.
< If you change the volume when the sound is muted, it will be
unmuted.
LOUDNESS button
Press the LOUDNESS button to compensate for the loss of bass at
low volumes.
Turn it off when listening at normal levels.
S.BASS (Super Bass) button
Press the S.BASS button to turn the Bass boost function on or off.
The S-BASS indicator lights when this function is on.
< The S.BASS and the LOUDNESS buttons do not work together.
Preset Equalizer
Press the PRESET EQ button repeatedly to select a preset equalizer.
CLASSIC: A balanced sound; suitable for classical music.
JAZZ: Suitable for jazz music.
ROCK: Provides a heavy powerful sound; suitable for rock music.
POP: Emphasizes vocal tones; suitable for popular music.
FLAT: Equalizer is off.
